Room for wonder.

Led by Jade Klara, our head of illustration, we created a series of large-scale, hand-illustrated murals for Amazon’s new Cape Town offices. Built around growth, imagination and connection, the work brings colour, curiosity and character into the working day.

THE CHALLENGE

Give the space a personality.

The offices offered an opportunity to make illustration part of the everyday experience of working at Amazon.

The challenge was to create work that could hold its own at architectural scale while rewarding a closer look, bringing interest to corridors, corners and the spaces people move through.

THE IDEA

Let imagination inhabit the building.

We approached the murals as stories unfolding through the space. Themes of growth and connection gave Jade room to explore a world full of movement, playful encounters and unexpected details.

The intention was to give people something to discover as they went about their day.

THE WORK

Stories that turn corners.

Jade’s colour-rich illustrations stretch across walls, follow corridors and bend around corners, making the building part of each composition.

The scale gives the work presence; the storytelling invites attention. Together, the murals bring warmth and a sense of wonder to Amazon’s Cape Town offices, giving a global workplace its own character.
